Today we begin a new semester with a number of new students! From 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. we will be hosting our Spring 2015 new student orientation. On this exciting day we will be covering some great topics and providing a variety of advice about distance learning. New students will get the opportunity to meet fellow students and SNHL faculty. Students will have the chance to set up their study plans with nursing academic advisors and get to know the wonderful faculty in the School of Nursing and Healthcare Leadership. An introduction to the online management system and major resource for learning, Desire2Learn (D2L), will also be given to students. In addition, the first course that students will be taking, Nursing 301 Transitions, will be introduced. This orientation is an excellent opportunity to meet the people students will be collaborating with for the upcoming semesters. It is also a great way to ensure success within the program. Along with a variety of helpful information and meeting others in the RN to BSN program a delicious contenetial breakfast will be served. Students should be sure to bring their Dragon and Star ID numbers and review the BSN Student Handbook online. An opportunity to ask any questions will be provided. The faculty of the School of Nursing and Healthcare Leadership are extremelly excited to begin this new semester and meet all of the new students!
