MSUM’s Healthcare Leadership Organization will be taking part in Relay For Life of Moorhead Colleges on Saturday April 12, 2014. The event begins at 2:00 pm and will take place at Concordia College. Relay For Life events take place in more than 5,200 communities in 20 countries. The events raise more than $400 million per year for the American Cancer Society.
The Healthcare Leadership Organization is putting together a team to “honor cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against a disease that has already taken too much” (Relay for Life). The team will camp out overnight, taking turns walking or running throughout the entire night. Because cancer never sleeps, the team will have one participant on the track at all times.
